Ingredients
- 4 large white onions (about 400g each)
- 45g butter
- 8g salt
Instructions
- Cut the onions into strings.
- Put a pan on medium and add butter.
- Throw in the onions and mix (if all the onions do not fit the pot, do not worry, you can add the rest a bit later).
- Add the salt and mix.
- Mix throroughly at least every 10 minutes, until all the water evapores. This could take between 1-1,5 hours.
- After that, reduce the heat to low and mix properly at least every 5 minutes.
- The whole process might take end to end between 4-5 hours.
- I have so far managed only 2,5 hours, still the onions were great and I hope to finish the whole process one day.
